Former Manchester United star Jesse Lingard has hit back at fans on social media after they claimed he, Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford are destroying the culture of his former club.

Lingard joined the Red Devils academy at the age of seven and went on to make 232 first-team appearances in all competitions before leaving the club that raised him in 2022.

The 32-year-old England forward is currently with FC Seoul in the South Korean top flight but his exploits at United have continued to see him criticised.

“He, Pogba and Rashford are destroying the culture of the club. Even Wayne Rooney admits that,” one user commented under a highlights clip of Lingard’s time at United.

“After Sir Alex left the club allowed Lingard to have his own culture alongside two vultures.”

Lingard was soon seen reacting with a comment: “Please explain how me, สนใจสมัคร? คลิกที่นี่เพื่อเริ่มต้น Paul and Marcus are destroying the culture of Manchester United?”

Another fan chimed in: “You used to make our team play well. While you were dancing and being happy, which some idiots who call themselves fans don’t like.”

However, Lingard defended his past behaviour: “We were just enjoying life playing for the biggest club in the world. “Of course

we made mistakes and we learned but we will always be happy, smiling and dancing. “

I am happy in South Korea. I don’t normally read the comments seriously but I have to hit back at these ridiculous accusations.” A

third fan suggested another reason was more on the pitch: “You didn’t help us play well, you’re just not a good player and that’s okay.”

Lingard similarly replied: “Then I’ll take the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup out of the cabinet.”
