“Ronaldo” aims to buy La Liga team but must meet one condition

Cristiano Ronaldo is set to take over the La Liga club but one condition must be met after the Portugal superstar opened up about his ownership plans.

The 40-year-old Al Nassr star caused a stir after reports emerged that he would buy a La Liga club after hanging up his boots, something the player revealed last year, and now it’s all about to begin. “I’m still very young, I have a lot of plans and dreams ahead of me, but mark my words – I will become the owner of a big club,” CR7 previously said.

For Ronaldo, it took him nine years to play in La Liga with Real Madrid, scoring 450 goals in 438 games for Los Blancos before moving to Juventus in 2018.

Seven years after leaving Spain, the Portugal captain is reportedly interested in returning to club ownership by buying Valencia, according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo.

Ronaldo and current Valencia owner Peter Lim, a Singaporean businessman, have a close relationship and this is the reason for the rumor.

However, it is believed that Ronaldo may receive financial backing from the Saudi royal family, particularly Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) เล่นบาคาร่า UFABET เว็บตรง ค่าคอมสูง or the Saudi Public Investment Fund.

Since Ronaldo moved to the Saudi Pro League in late 2022, he has been a leading figure in Saudi Arabian sports, making frequent appearances at boxing events and the UFC.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that an important condition for Ronaldo to become the owner of Valencia is that the “Bat” team must not be relegated to play in the second division or Division 2.

‘Cristiano Ronaldo’ will be the next owner of Valencia if they remain in the first division, says Julian Redondo in Mundo Depertivo

Peter Lim previously told a Singapore newspaper that he was not interested in selling Valencia.

In 2023, Forbes valued Valencia at £169m, with details including matchday revenue, broadcasting rights, commercial activities, brand value, operating income, debt and stadium debt.

La Liga rules and FIFA regulations do not prohibit a player from owning a club in another league, provided the club the player is playing for is not competing in the same competition. Al-Nassr and Valencia have only met in friendlies, so it is theoretically possible for Ronaldo to take over Valencia while he is still a player.
