‘Palm leaf’ book structure in wooden covers.

This small wooden covered book is full of drawings that suggest an undeciphered, strange language. The book is surrounded by talismans, like a magical object used in a ritual. The book makes use of the ancient Asian “palm leaf” structure. At the time of making this book, it was to be another seven years until I would see a desert for real. Maybe this book knew something I yet didn’t.
