An artist book adapted and modified from medieval book structures.

This book is essentially a blank notebook with painted decorative details and hand-written quotes in Latin on the theme of love that divide the book in sections. I made this around 1996 and if I remember correctly, it has a herring bone sewing on raised cords and the spine is covered with a thin suede layer. The covers are laminated with two leather sheets, the front one having natural holes in it, and I’ve inset a round, reddish agate stone in the larger hole.
