‘Codex Spiritus’
Coptic structure.
This Coptic binding has dyed mahogany covers and dyed chamois leather tied around them. Both covers show faint words near the foredge, written in copper dust – ‘Sancti Spiritus’ on the front cover and ‘Angele Dei’ on back cover, same words appear on the respective endpapers. The antique copper cross is threaded on a hematite chain.
